FAQs

Absolutely not! That is like asking to use track shoes on a tennis court, or a road bike on a mountain bike course. It simple doesn’t work. Why would anyone think a 6’8 330 pound lineman, a 100 pound female gymnast and a 5’5 140 pound race car driver could use the same drink? Their events are as different as are their physical needs. Performance Drink can cater to those differences with their custom pro formulas.

Like most things that can have many variations, if you can get a custom version just for you, you can increase the benefit to your body. Performance Drink is no different. The base training formula works great, but if you really want to see the difference, a custom formula will take advantage of your metabolism to make sure that you are at your best for your event.

Many sport drinks on the market are simply replenishment drinks. They are drinks that attempt to give you back some of the sugar and electrolytes that you have sweated out. But they act only in the short term, and do nothing for you in the long term. That’s where PerformanceDrink is different. You take PerformanceDrink before your event to last you through it and give you the nice and even glucose levels you need for the duration and recovery.

These terms relate to the concentration of drink formulas. Isotonic drinks have a heavier concentration of nutritional ingredients where as Hypotonic drinks have much less. There are a possible 5 million different combinations of ingredients that can be used to create these types of solutions. PerformanceDrink has found the best combination of isotonic and hypotonic solutions.

Performance Drink is a proprietary blend of carbohydrates which may consist of grains, fruits, vegetables, sea salt and natural flavors depending on events and personal requirements. These ingredients can be generically referred to as MaltoDextrin, Fructose, and Dextrose. Ultimately, these basic ingredients are the same kind of stuff that you eat every day.

MaltoDextrin is a complex carbohydrate similar to starch made from corn. It is easily digestible and is a good source of glucose for energy.

Your blood glucose levels indicate how much glucose is readily available for your muscles to burn in your blood stream. If these levels get too low, an athlete can experience any number of negative side effects, such as loss of focus, blurry vision and poor coordination. This is sometimes called “the Wall” by endurance athletes. Making sure this level is at its optimum throughout the athletes event is the primary focus of PerformanceDrink.

Performance Drink can help just as much with short sprinting activities as with endurance events. Often times, even though your race may only last a minute, you may still be doing heats to get to that point, as well as any warm up activity. Also, high loads for such a short duration can break muscles down quickly and Performance Drink can help with the recovery.

Performance Drink can be used continuously throughout a long duration event in conjunction with normal food and water intake. The 24 hours of Daytona is a good example, and the 2007 winners used Performance Drink the whole race.

PerformanceDrink can work with the needs of diabetic athletes using custom formulas to make sure that blood sugar levels stay in the right places, as it is especially important. Call us and ask us how you can use the product.

Yes. Since Performance Drink does not contain any strange roots from far off places, but only a combination of basic carbohydrates and sugars found in common foods, there is really nothing to detect in any substance tests. PerformanceDrink has now had formulas tested by the Olympic commitees to make sure all of the tests are passed.

Compared to many drinks on the market, PerformanceDrink is indeed more expensive. But, if you really look at all of the costs of your sport, and all of the time you have spent to get to that event, wouldn’t you want to make sure that you had every last bit of your ability at just the right moment? In many sports, the difference between 1st and 2nd place can be thousandths of a second! Would you rather save the money and come in 2nd?
